Last summer, we went to Europe for a little vacation and we brought the kids along to experience the Old Country. I remember the city of Lyons, France and its roman theaters next to medieval stone alleyways and the best part was the food! I learned right away that it is the Capital of Gastronomy in France, and the food was amazing, the restaurant: Léon of Lyon was perhaps the best food that I have ever eaten and we bought a ton of cookbooks at the culinary bookstore at Place Bellecour, it was called Badiane. They had a great idea to mail me my books because they have an internet shop in English www.badiane.fr/en/ so I didn't have to lug around my bags of books. Then we went back with the kids to the Roman Theaters because they loved it so much and they let you climb everywhere, no velvet ropes to hold you back. Then we ate homemade ice cream cones at Nardone's store along the Saone riverside... with whip cream and a cherry on top !

We have a place in Orlando Florida were we go to every Jan. with the two little ones. It is so much fun! We like going there when it isn't so humid. My husband and I like to go wear it is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We are from Arizona so we don't need the warm temp. We go to Flagstaff, Utah, Montana, or to the Rockies to enjoy the outdoors during the summer. We enjoy the Hawaiian islands in Fall. We always go with our two children. We always go to places when it isn't the peak of tourist season. We mix with locals and get a real feel of our host town. It is always a wonderful adventure. Would not change a thing.

Bon Voyage!Carolina

Went to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico during the Christmas holidays (2006) and stayed at the Grand Palladium Resorts-COLONIAL. There are 4 resorts in total and you can use all of the facilities at each resort. The SPA facilities are free but limited to those 18+. Something to do for everyone, Youngest person was 5 years old and oldest was 55 years old. Service, food and facilities were amazing. A little pricey but worth every cent.

I think our best vacations are when my husband, our 2 daughters and I go anywhere for a vacation. We have been all up and down the east and west coast of Florida as well as the Keys, we have been to Montana, we have been to Gulf Shores Alabama, we have been to West Texas and to Arizona as well as to Michigan. We try to make it diverse. Its just fun to be together as a family and share those memories. There aren't too many places we wouldn't go back to. We are looking forward to our vacation this year up in Alaska.

By far Cape May, NJ is my favorite. Great for families. Beautiful victorian B&B's to view. You feel like you are not in New Jersey while in Cape May!! Bring your walking shoes. Driving the family truckster is not needed as everything is in close distance. Enjoy...

Last year my husband and I went to Miami for a few days and then rented a convertible and drove down to Key West! The ride was so fun and romantic! After staying a few days there, we headed back up to Miami to catch a flight home. It was a wonderful time!

In November of 05, my mom, sister, sister-in-law and I went to San Francisco. We rented a flat on Hyde Street at the cable car turn-around. We were within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, and great restaurants. We were able to drive to Sausalito, the wine country, and even took a tour to Monterey/Carmel. We went on the tour to Alcatraz Island. Even though we were there for a week we didn't have enough time to go to the Muir Woods. Fortunately my husband and I are planning to go to San Francisco for our 25th anniversary in September. This time we will stay in the wine country for 2 or 3 nights and then in San Francisco for 4 nights. San Francisco is such a beautiful city with so many interesting and fun things to do close by. I can't wait to go back.

I have been lots of places... my favorite is Disney World in Orlando. We drove from NJ and had a blast. Everyone is so friendly and happy that it blew us away. There is nothing better then seeing the faces of two little boys that have never been to Disney before.

We rented a beach house in Nags Head, NC. The location of our house was on the beach side and just a walk down from the house. There is so many things to see and do other then the beach. The Wright Brothers musuem, lighthouses and Jockey State Park are fun to visit. This was one of our best family vacations and one we remember the most.

One of the best places I can think of for a family vacation is Pigeon Forge TN. You can rent out cabins and chalets down there and stay in the Great Smoky Mt's, there is all kinds of things to do for any age. Dollywood, all kinds of crafts and entertainment for kids of all ages. Hiking, biking, fishing, even white water rafting. The cabins range in size for families of 2 or 20 people. so they are perfect for family reunions. All in all, a great family vacation spot.

Last July we went for a loop. We flew to Calgary and drove to Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Edmonton and back to Calgary. The weather was warm with a chill in the air and it didn't get dark until 11:00 PM. We visited a rodeo, hot springs, a waterfall, an ice field and the largest Mall I've ever seen. It was the best vacation we ever had.

I took my 11 year old grandson to Washington DC in August of '06. We had a wonderful time (even though the temperature hit 108). Part of the fun was planning the trip while searching the internet for our flight, hotel, travel suggestions and setting our itinerary. We would do it again in a minute.
